to support great Mountaineers Club programs

We also support community programs across the Pacific Northwest. Have a look at the grants we gave during the past year. Your support made it possible for us to help The Mountaineers along with these great organizations:

  • Burke Museum Association
  • Cascade Land Conservancy
  • Earth Economics
  • North Cascades Institute

to help support our community grant program

We own and preserve the 360-acre Rhododendron Preserve in central Kitsap County, one of the largest remaining examples of Puget Sound lowland old-grow forest in the Puget Sound basin.

Join The Mountaineers and The Mountaineers Foundation on Tuesday, May 11, for the May edition of Greendrinks! Going strong since 2003, Greendrinks events are informal gatherings that allow Seattle's environmental community to socialize, network and make connections.

In addtion to the opportunity to rub shoulders with other enviro-friendly Seattle-ites, Greendrinks lives up to its name and features beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks generously donated by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Badger Mountain Winery and DRY Soda, respectively. To accompany the beverages, we will also have food donated by Full Circle Farms and prepared by Chaco Canyon Cafe.

Both hosting organizations offer a sample of sorts, too. The Mountaineers Foundation will have information on their charitable giving, grants and other programs. Mountaineers Books and Braided River will also be on hand with some of their most recently published titles. Greendrinks attendees can get information on Mountaineers classes and activities, and during the event you will also have the chance to get up on one of our custom built rock climbing training walls!

If you will be joining us at Greendrinks, please bring your own mug, cup, wine glass or other vessel to help us reduce waste - even compostable waste.
